Scholarships
Russell Kohl Memorial Scholarship Fund
Applications will be accepted and reviewed every year for the Russell Kohl memorial scholarship. This annual scholarship is for students enrolled in courses leading to an Associate or Bachelor degree in any discipline. Conference members and their family members are encouraged to apply.

All applications must be accompanied by an official transcript from the school currently attending.

Workshops and Tradeshows
Westchester Water Works Conference, Inc. Annual Trade Show and Workshop
Westchester Water Works Conference represents, serves, and educates domestic water operators and their associate members in Westchester County New York. A primary goal of the conference is to provide continuing education workshops that allow member to retain their New York State water operator certification. Every member operator must complete a set amount of credit hours within a 3-year period to remain current.
Each year, during the fall, a trade show and education workshop is held to bring municipal and private water operators together with various vendors who have water related products and services. Classes are held throughout the day in various water related subjects that bring the operator up to date with new technology. Existing, standard operating procedures and methods are reviewed as part of keeping the operators current. Each New York State operator certification holder, in good standing with the Westchester Water Works Conference are given 4 contact hours for attending the trade show and classes.
Awards
Water System Advancement Award Application
Applications are being accepted by the Resources Committee for entries in the Conference's Annual Water System Advancement Award Competition. Those who have witnessed previous Awards will recall the appreciation expressed by the Award recipients for acknowledgement of their efforts to provide safe and adequate water supplies to their customers.
Any project which enhances a Westchester County system in a substantial manner will be considered. The projects should typically (as determined by the applicant) have been substantially completed by December 31st of the previous year to be eligible for this year's award. A purveyor may enter more than one project. However, while the Conference may issue one or more awards in any year, the Conference is not obligated to issue any award.
A description of the types of projects eligible for consideration, criteria to be considered by the Board of Directors in evaluating the entries, and an Entry Form are available to download. The completed Entry Form(s) and accompanying documentation must be received by the Board of Directors, at the address indicated on the Entry Form. Operators Meritorious Award
Application forms for the "Operator's Meritorious Service Award" are available to all Superintendents/Managers.
A committee will review the applications and make a recommendation to the Board of Directors. The Board will then decide on the recipient of the award. As done in the past, we anticipate forwarding the awardees application to the appropriate New York Section AWWA committee for consideration of their award.
